Edwin Douglas Mitchell, Jr., 68 of Lynch Station, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Thursday, May 12, 1949 in Bedford, a son of Barbara Powers Mitchell of Lynch Station who survives and the late Edwin Douglas Mitchell, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Dave Mitchell
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Jaclyn Smith Mitchell; his son, Edwin Douglas Mitchell III; his granddaughter, Miranda Lee Mitchell; his sister, Robin M. Creasey.
Services will be held at a later date and are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
