Obituary of Robert Clair Kennedy

Robert C. Kennedy, 72 of Bedford passed away Saturday, July 8, 2017 in Guggenhemier Health & Rehab.  He was born February 24, 1945 in Roslyn, PA a son of the late Robert Peck Kennedy and Margretta Wilderstein Kennedy.  He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Kennedy-Shick.  
He was retired from the Virginia Department of Forestry & was a member of Brookhill Wesleyan Church.  His long time labor of love was Tannenbaum Christmas Tree Farm, where many generations of friends and family would frequent every Christmas to choose the perfect tree.
He is survived by his wife, Lois K. Kennedy; two sons, Robert David Kennedy & wife, Cheryl of Montvale; Jason Lee Kennedy & wife, Christine of Bedford; two brothers, Richard Kennedy & wife, Judy of Vestal, NY; Roy Kennedy & wife, Doris of Union Dale, PA as well as his grandchildren, Ryan Kennedy, Erin Kennedy & Lily Kennedy.
 A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Brookhill Wesleyan Church with Pastor Brian Cook officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Tuesday evening at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
