Obituary of William Wallace Morgan

William Wallace Morgan, 86 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Guggenheimer Nursing Home.  He was born on Saturday, June 6, 1931  in Bedford County, a son of the late Samuel Henry Morgan and Clara Blankenship Morgan.  He was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and was a member of Wilson United Methodist Church.  

He is survived by his wife, Betty Goggin Morgan; his sons, Michael Morgan & wife, Donna of Vinton, Ricky Morgan & wife, Glenda of Huddleston; his grandchildren, Jason Morgan (Gretchen) Jennie Farr (Brad) Christopher Morgan (Christina), David Morgan; his great-grandchildren, Madison Morgan, Ayla Farr, Ryan Farr, Cameron Morgan, Declan Morgan as well as his sister, Marie Holland & husband, Marvin.  

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Russ Alden & Rev. Jack Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
