Obituary of Donna Byrd Morgan

Donna Byrd Morgan, 54 of  Huddleston, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 11, 2017.  She was born on Thursday, November 15, 1962  in Bedford County, a daughter of Louise DeLong Byrd who survives and the late Carl Davis "C. D." Byrd.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Sue Byrd.  

Donna was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and friend to all.  She thrived on helping others and "no" was not a word she knew.  She was loved by many and will be truly missed.  

In addition to her mother, she is survived by husband, Donnie Ray Morgan; her daughter, Christie Deardorff & husband, Jeff; her son, Jonathan Morgan & wife, Amber; her grandchildren, Ethan Deardorff, Mason Deardorff, Connor Morgan; her brothers, Dale Byrd, Donald Byrd & wife, Anita.  

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Radford Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Delong & Rev. Melvin Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in Palestine Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday evening, August 14 from 5 until 8 PM at Radford Baptist Church.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
