Obituary of Reva Crawford Arthur

Reva Crawford Arthur, 87 of  Bedford, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Thursday, December 12, 1929, a daughter of the late James Burford Crawford and Mamie Truman Creasy Crawford.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Ottie Arthur.  She was a member of  Timber Ridge Baptist Church.  

She is survived by her daughters, Ann Stanley Myers & husband, Leon, Linda Arthur Dingus & husband, Tony all of Bedford; her son, James "Jimmy" Kent Arthur & wife, Michelle of Bedford; her grandchildren, Troy D. Martin & wife, Angie of Goode, Tracie D. Martin & friend, Ronald B. Orange of Thaxton, Alisha D. Dingus of Washington, DC, Christopher Dingus of Clifton, Lindsey T. Arther & Logan T. Arthur, both of Bedford; her great-granddaughter, Olivia D. Martin of Goode; her sisters-in-law, Thelma A. Johnson of Thaxton, Peggy J. Crawford of Evington as well as her special friends & caregivers, Maxine Goode, Robin Payne & Carol Creasy.  

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 beginning at 12 noon at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a funeral service will follow at 1 PM in the chapel with Pastor Phil Shouse officiating.  Interment will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
