Obituary of Elizabeth Nichols Turner

Elizabeth Gretchen Nichols Turner, 82, of Falls Church and formerly of  Bedford County, passed away on November 5, 2017 at her residence.  She was born on February 21, 1935 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Kyle Nichols and Velva Ayers Nichols. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harold W. Turner, Sr.

Elizabeth retired as a sales clerk for a Designer Shop and she was a member of Graham Road United Methodist Church in Falls Church.

She is survived by a son, Harold W. Turner, Jr.; a daughter, Bridget K. Rabel; an aunt, Robbie Ayers; a cousin, Ralph L. Dent, Jr; a niece, Elizabeth Ann Jones;  grandchildren, Tory Rabel, Kayla Rabel and great grandchildren, Forrest Sowers, Isaiah Hall. 

The family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 and a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
