Susan Dooley Amos, 65 of  Bedford, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  She was born on Saturday, September 20, 1952  in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Tunney Dooley and Bessie Lee Robertson Dooley.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Rena Overstreet & a son, Ogan Woodrow Amos, Jr.  She was retired from Walmart.  

She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Amos; her daughters, Angela Dawn Manley & husband, Travis of Big Island, LaDonna Amos Lucas & husband, Alan of Bedford; her son, Wade Amos & wife, Diane of Bedford; her sister, Jane Overstreet & husband, Jimmy of Bedford as well as fifteen grandchildren & five great grandchildren.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Geoff Hubbard & Pastor Solly Overstreet officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 2 until 5 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
