Obituary of Vivian Moore Saul

Vivian Moore Saul, 100 of  Bedford, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Bedford County Nursing Home.  She was born on Wednesday, January 10, 1917  in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Steve Moore and Alberta Guthrie Moore.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Saul, a son, Roger Lewis Saul and a daughter, Leslie Jane Smith.  She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Marie Terry, Mary Lee Bryant, Brenda Mae Richardson, Patricia Sue Ayers, Vivian Kay Underwood; her sons, John Harvey Saul, Terry Lynn Saul, her son-in-law, Nathan Smith as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren .  

The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Flint Hill Baptist Church, 8997 Dickerson Mill Road, Moneta, VA 24121.  

Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Kyle Dooley officiating.  Interment will follow in Mount of Olives/Holy Land USA Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
