Obituary of Donald Phillip Overstreet

Donald Phillip Overstreet, 65 of  Goodview, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  He was born on Friday, May 9, 1952  in Bedford County, a son of the late Herman Carlton Overstreet and Agnes Gertrude Elder Overstreet.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Barry Overstreet.  He was retired from Harris Trucking.  

He is survived by his wife, Jean McNeal Overstreet;  two sons, Daniel Stuart Overstreet of Hardy, Derek B. Overstreet & wife, Kelly of Richmond; his grandchildren,  Brendan, Trevor, Abbygail, Seth & Clara; his brothers, Carlton Wayne Overstreet of Lynchburg, Jeffrey Lynn Overstreet of Montana.  

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford. Interment will follow in Peaks Presbyterian Church & Community Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 4 until 7:30 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
