Obituary of William Oscar Bowyer

William Oscar Bowyer, 84 of  Bedford, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on Friday, September 22, 1933 in Bedford County, a son of the late Francis Molen Bowyer and Mary Letha Creasy Bowyer.   He was retired from Owens-Illinois as a maintenance mechanic, was a member of  Nicopolis United Methodist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict.  

He is survived by his brothers, Bernard Martin Bowyer of Bedford, Kenneth Lee Bowyer of Charlotte County; eleven nieces & nephews and a special friend, Baby Girl.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Nicopolis United Methodist Church with Rev. David Lord officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 5 until 7 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
