Obituary of Kimberlee DeHart

Please share a memory of Kimberlee to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kim was taken from us on the evening of 1/17/11 at the age of 53, for reasons that only God knows. Born 2/9/57 in Lynchburg to Kenneth and Jean Moore. Married to Joseph DeHart and lived in Bedford with their son, Eric DeHart. I, as her husband, will tell you of Kim, for I knew her better than any other. She was a part of me as Eve was to Adam. She devoted her life to her husband, son, family and her work. No man could ask for a better mate; Kim sacrificed her wants for needs of family and friends. Kept the home going while her husband was serving his country. Consoled her husband while her son was serving. She was the perfect Marine wife and mother. To her mother, Delores Jean Strawn of Bedford, and her sisters, Cindy Tucker of Forest and Tamara Preston of Lynchburg, Kim loved you as no other and always were in her thoughts. To her sisters & brothers-in-law, Richard Tucker of Forest, Steve DeHart of Radford, Tony & Susan DeHart of Radford, Kim loved you as you were the brothers she never had. To her nieces and nephews, Jenn & Matt Bruns of Decatur, IL, Matt & Andrew DeHart of Radford, Mike DeHart, currently serving in the United State Navy, Amy, Mike, Tessie, Wyatt Watkins of Richmond, Kim loved you as her own and was so proud of you. To Mindy and Joseph Altizer of Crewe, Kim thought of you as her daughter and grandson. To her co-workers and friends at Areva where she was employed, you were her second family. Kim will be missed by all and there will always be a hole in my heart. I love you Kim. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Dr. David H. Henderson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford
