Betty Jean Davis, 59 of Lynchburg, VA passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at her daughter's home in Bedford. She was born on Wednesday, May 31, 1950 in TX, a daughter of the late Ben Frank Caswell and Ima Jean Lowery . In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother, Benny Wayne Caswell and a great-grandson, Nathan Isiah Archie She was a retired CNA and was a member of Leesville Road Baptist Church . In addition to her mother she is survived by her sons, Ronald Davis Jr & his wife Kristen of North Carolina, Christopher Cunningham of Lynchburg, her daughters; Donna Mayhew & her husband Richard of Bedford, Dorothy Davis of Lynchburg, Lehuanani Brown of North Carolina, Renalda Patterson & her husband Troy, of Lynchburg, several brothers & sisters, 16 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, her ex-husband & lifelong friend of 31 years Ronald Gene Davis Sr. and special friends Velma Patterson & Charles Hill. A celebration of Betty's life will be held on Sunday May 16, 2010 at 5:00 PM at the Updike Funeral Home Chapel in Bedford. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank hospice workers Cathy Montgomery and Lillie McCoy for the loving care provided to Betty in her final days.
