Faye Perry Fisher, 77 of Montvale, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Bedford County Nursing Home. She was born on Thursday, April 8, 1937 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Charles Holland Perry and Avis Hopkins Perry. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Fisher & two brothers, Edward & Charles Perry. She was a nurse with Carilion and was a member of Bedford Christian Church. Surviving is her daughter, Hope Fisher Ore & husband, Ralph of Montvale; her grandson, Jeremy Ore of Montvale; a sister, Sue Perry Woods & husband, George of Bedford as well as several nieces & nephews. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Bedford Christian Church Building Fund, 1928 Moneta Road, Bedford, VA 24523. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Bedford Christian Church with Rev. William H. Moore officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 12 noon and until the time of the service at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
