Obituary of Anthony Felix Serreno

Anthony “Tony” F. Serreno, of Dunbar, WV, passed away on October 19, 2014. He was born on December 2, 1955 to the late Frank and Elline Blackburn Serreno, He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, David and Katherine Blackburn; paternal grandparents Bill and Santina Serreno; and great niece Allison Diane Martin. He graduated from Welch High School, Marshall University, West Virginia State College and Antioch Law School. Tony spent his professional career practicing law in Charleston, WV. He was a lifelong Marshall University football fan, loved the water and was well known for his sense of humor, charisma and overall presence. He is survived by his sister, Anita Collins Martin (Robert) and her children, Robert (Diane); Lisa Brown (John); and Karen McGlamery (Andrew); her grandchildren, Christopher (Emily) and Nathan Martin; Tyler Truman; Kellyn McGlamery and Emily Allen; and her great grandchildren, Tristan Truman and Allison Martin. He also leaves behind many Serreno and Blackburn cousins and their extended families. A special thanks to Judge Mark Snyder, Pam Steelhammer and Paul Walker for the loving care and companionship they provided Tony in his years of declining health. His immediate family will hold a private memorial at Smith Mountain Lake in the coming days while his friends and co-workers in Charleston, WV are planning a celebration of life gathering in the near future in his honor, coordinated by Judge Mark Snyder.
