Lee Allen Fowler, 60 of Goode, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born on Wednesday, July 21, 1954 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Carey S. Fowler and Elizabeth Markham Fowler Green. He was a retired employee of R. R. Donnally and was a member of Brookhill Weselyan Church. Surviving is his wife, Cecilia Whorley Fowler; two sons, Derek Fowler & wife, Sierra of Lynchburg, Carl Fowler & wife, Mariel of Goode; three granddaughters, Nicole, Olivia & Nora Fowler; three brothers, Wayne Fowler & wife, Dianne of Goode, John Fowler & wife, Lucy of Bedford, Larry Fowler of Lynchburg; his mother-in-law, Reva Whorley of Goode. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Rock Pike Baptist Church Building Fund, 1117 Blackwater Road, Forest, VA 24551. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Dr. Donald Gillette & Rev. Joe Horrell officiating. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11 AM at Virginia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday from 4 PM until the time of the service at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
