Helen Josephine Preble Bupp, 82 of Moneta, passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, December 18, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY, a daughter of the late Wesley Eugene Preble and Dorothy Hammond Preble. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Preston Leroy Bupp and a son, Wesley Eugene Bupp. She was an avid gardener and had a special love for cats. She loved her church family and was a devoted member of Radford Baptist Church in Moneta, where she sang in the choir, attended bible study and worshipped regularly. She is survived by her sons, Neil Bradley Bupp & wife, Robyn of Manchester, PA, Joel Patrick Bupp of Moneta, Mitchell Bupp & Sharon Henegar of Henry; two daughters, Joyce B. Bresnahan, Cindy B. George & husband, Leo all of Moneta; a sister, Constance Oswalt of Asheville, NC as well as ten grandchildren & twenty-two great grandchildren. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Bedford Humane Society, 829 Ole Turnpike Drive, Bedford, VA 24523. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 11:00 am at Radford Baptist Church with Rev. Karl Hofheinz officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
