Mary LaGrand (Vance) Morris, 72 of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at her residence. She was born on Wednesday, March 3, 1943 in Carlsbad, NM, a daughter of the late Sherman Vance and Mildred Pauline Ratcliff Vance. She was a retired administrative assistant with the Salvation Army National Headquarters and was a member of Bedford Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Ronald N. Morris; her son, Bryan N. Morris & wife, Elisa; her daughter, Courtney L. Bremner& husband, Zach; a granddaughter, Cora L. Bremner; two grandsons, Owen R. Bremner, Henry W. Bremner. The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider the Bedford Presbyterian Church Music Program, 105 West Main Street, Bedford, VA 24523 or the Salvation Army, 2215 Park Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24501. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Bedford Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Salley officiating. A short reception will follow. A graveside service will be on Friday September 25, 2015 at 2 PM at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, VA. Anybody who would like to attend is welcome. There will also be a reception for family and friends at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, VA at 4:30pm on Friday September 25, 2015. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
