Arlene West Quarles, 99 of Lynch Station, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was born on Monday, February 12, 1917 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Raleigh West and Hettie Newman West . She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Ollie Crouch & Harry Quarles.
She was retired from the Lane Company and was a member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church.
She is survived by several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
The family requests that those wishing to make memorials consider Centra Hospice, 3300 Rivermont Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24503.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside at Leftwich Cemetery on Monday, May 30, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dawn Compton officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 until 2 PM at the home of Ada Kirby. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
