Jeanette Smith Plymale, 87 of Moneta, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. She was born on Saturday, September 22, 1928 in Bedford, a daughter of the late Thomas Emmett Smith and Stella Simmons Smith. She was a member of Staunton Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Marshall Plymale; two sons, Billy Jones & wife, Becky of Moneta; Marshall Plymale & wife, Tonja of Spotswood; her daughter, Toni Jones of Tucson, AZ; her brother, Donald Smith of Montvale, two grandchildren, Leigha Greer, Bill Jones III as well as three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Staunton Baptist Church with Rev. John Reale & Rev. R. Grant Harbridge officiating. Interment will follow in Staunton Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 12 noon and until the time of the service at Staunton Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
