Ralph Edward Ore, 64 of Montvale, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his residence. He was born on Saturday, February 16, 1952 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Artie Ore, Jr. and Dorothy Parcell Ore. He was retired from H. F. Interiors and was a U. S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Hope Fisher Ore; his son & the light of his life, Jeremy Allen Ore of Montvale; his dad, Allen Fisher of Montvale; his brothers, Donald Ore & wife, Arline of Lynchburg, Darryl Ore & fiance, Danielle of Lynchburg; his sisters, Judy Hurst & husband, Richard of Kernersville, NC, Nancy Leathers of Lynchburg, Kay Carney of Greenville, NC, Peggy Elliott of Forest, Cindy Talbott & husband, Curtis of Forest, Pam Miles & husband, Scott of Lynchburg; a niece, Hannah Williams; special friend, Dana Williams as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and other close friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Pastor Danny Holdren officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 until 8 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
