Patricia Baker Coleman, 85 of Bedford, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at her residence. She was born on Thursday, October 29, 1931 in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Emerald H. Baker and Mabel Stanley Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lee Coleman, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Anne Coleman; her sons, Gordon Emerald Coleman & fiance, Preston Bond, Jack Lee Coleman, Jr. & wife, Amy Waryas Coleman; her grandchildren, Carmen Elizabeth Kurek & husband, Mark, Nicholas Baker Coleman, Makayla Brooke Womble and her great-grandchildren, Henry Adam Kurek, William Patrick Kurek.
The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers, Judy Garrett, Sheila Sowers & Shelly Smith for their loving care given to our mother. The family
requests those wishing to make memorials to consider Bedford Hospice Care, 1621 Whitfield Drive, # C, Bedford, VA 24523 or Lynchburg Humane Society, 1211 Old Graves Mill Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Rick Dellinger officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 6 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
