Guy DuVall Zimmerman, 88 of Bedford, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center. He was born on Monday, July 10, 1933 in Bedford, a son of the late John Willie Zimmerman and Gaytie Earl Newman Zimmerman. He was also preceded in death by his wife of sixty-six 1/2 years, Rebecca Lee Craig Zimmerman and brothers, Johnson Wayne Zimmerman & Jack Zimmerman.
He was owner/operator of DZ Electric for 40 years and was a member and past deacon at Flint Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Zimmerman DeLong; his grandchildren, R. Allen Angle, Jr. & wife, Amie, Craig Lowry DeLong & wife, Ruth, Courtney DeLong Gruss & husband, Aaron; his great-grandchildren, Ivy Noel Angle, Turner Allen Angle, Tallula Joy Angle, Brynn Makayla DeLong; two step-great grandchildren, James Trail, Samuel Tosh.
A graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
