Joyce Anne Laughlin, 84, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at her residence. She was born on Monday, March 4, 1940 to the late Jack E. Patterson, Sr. & Annie McFall Patterson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon P. Laughlin; brothers, Jack Patterson, Jr., David R. Patterson & Kenneth D. Patterson.

Joyce retired from Rubatex as a machinist. She was a member of Ephesus Church at Otter Hill. Joyce loved dollhouses, crossword puzzles, collecting cookbooks and going to yard sales.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy L. Wooldridge (Doug); son, Gregory K. Laughlin (Mary Lou); grandson, Justin Alan Morgon (Jenny); granddaughter, Chelesa Raye Laughlin; step-grandson, Jason W. Hogan; step-granddaughters, Jennifer McCormick (David) & Heather Miller (Patrick); Sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Claude H. Patterson (Jean); sister, Carolyn Faye Shaner, beloved caregiver, Robin Reynolds & many nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ephesus Church at Otter Hill Benevolent Fund.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Ephesus Church at Otter Hill with Pastor Stewart Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Ephesus Church at Otter Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
