Josephine Fay Biggs Racek, 65 of  Reston, VA  passed away Monday, April 14, at her residence. She was born on Saturday, September 19, 1959 in Bedford, VA, a daughter of the late Houston Biggs and Mamie Dooley Biggs.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Bolen and Minnie Handy and brother-in-law, Claude Handy.

Fay loved collecting anything hummingbirds, going to the lake, going to beaches, going out to eat, and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Mark D. Racek of Reston; her sons, Cody Racek (Kara) of Alexandria, and Justin Racek of Reston; a brother, Johnny Biggs, Sr. (Carolyn) of Bedford; her twin sister, Kay Goff (Charles) of Bedford, and sister, Denise Pryor of Gaston, NC; her mother and father-in-law Harold and Sue Manuel of Sutherland, TN; several nieces, nephews,and  extended family; she had a special love for her great-nephew, Caelan; her beloved dog, Bubba, and special friends, Dana Peyton & Kavita Chavan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025,  at 12:00 Noon  at Updike Funeral Home Chapel, Bedford with Jared Tucker officiating.  Interment will follow in Montvale Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 until noon.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
