Obituary of Jerry Lynne Newman Hailey

Jerry Lynne Newman Hailey, 60, of Huddleston, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at her residence.  She was born on Monday, July 6, 1964 to the late Ollie Junior Newman & Elsie Virginia Smith Harvey.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Lee Harvey, Barry Sean Newman & David Newman. 

Jerry worked for Bedford County School System as a bus driver & paraprofessional aid for 32 years. She loved shopping, dancing & going camping, but mostly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.  Jerry enjoyed church activities at Huddleston Church of God of Prophecy.

She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Roach (Jason) & Victoria Hailey (Shawn Wojdyla); son, Jeffrey “Bud” Hailey; grandchildren, Jenna Roach, Logan Hailey, Jaidyn Roach, Chloe Hailey, Bryson Saunders, Brynlee Ramey & Braylon Hailey; sisters, Diane Colomb, Patty Lloyd, Connie Fielder & Helen Chambers (Jewel); brothers, Dale Harvey (Suzanne) & Danny Cundiff; numerous nieces & nephews; significant other of 21 years, Charlie Goff.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Huddleston Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Wayne Murphy & Rev. Bryan Graves officiating.
