James Edgar Layne, Jr., 68, of Lynch Station passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was born on Monday, September 10,1956 in Lynchburg, VA.
He was a truck driver with Jevic Transportation.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Stevens (Scott); son, Travis Layne (Mary); grandchildren, Nicholas Overstreet (Kelsey), Morgan Lumpkin (Bradley), Seth Layne (Samantha), Gavin Stevens (Emily), and Kaylynn Layne; great grandson, Kolsen Brantley; sister, Theresa Layne Crouch (Ronnie).
Services will be private.
