James Edward Marshall, Jr., 75 of  Blue Ridge, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025.  He was born on Thursday, December 8, 1949  in Richlands, VA, a son of the late James Edward Marshall Sr. and Virginia Farmer Marshall .  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy E. Marshall.  He was a retired Welder with Boxley Materials Company of Blue Ridge and also a US Army Veteran.    

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Marshall of 54 years; his sons, Scott Marshall and Justin Marshall (Madeline); his grandsons, Ryan & Jacob Marshall; his sisters, Jackie Marshall Hayes and Deborah L. Marshall; numerous nieces & nephews. 

A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Vernon DeLong officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am - 11:00 am prior to the service.
