William Jennings Witt, 83 of Bedford, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center.  He was born on Sunday, December 7, 1941 in Bedford, a son of the late Roy Jennings Witt  and Virginia Lacy Witt . He was also preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Bennett and a brother, Richard Witt.  

He was a retired from Bedford Agri Services as a mechanic & truck driver and was a member of the Bedford Moose Lodge #1897.  William enjoyed camping and NASCAR and was a family man.  

He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Darlene Overstreet Witt; a son, William "Randy" Witt (Cher'e); a daughter Angela Gayle Witt; his grandchildren Dustin & Taylor Moseley; step grandchildren, Chelsey Mitchell and Dustin Nichols; numerous great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Ashwell (Darryl); a brother, Robert Witt (Karen) as well as several nieces & nephews. 

The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a funeral service will follow at 11 AM in the chapel.  Interment will follow in the Nicopolis Community Church Cemetery.
