Billy Carter Moore Obituary

Billy Carter Moore, 85 of  Bedford, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025 at his residence.  He was born on Wednesday, September 27, 1939 in Martinsville, VA, a son of the late James Ralph Moore  and Delcie Ann Stegall Moore. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Clark; a brother, Frank Moore; a sister, Barbara Ann Blankenship and a niece, Cathy Blankenship.  He was a local pharmacist for 53 years where he owned and operated Billy's Pharmacy for 16 years.  He was a Gideon and a member of  New Beginnings Pentecostal Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.


Billy love hunting especially turkey and deer hunting.  He loved sports and was an avid Redskins Fan. 


He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Ann Moore; his  daughters, Beth Moore, Kim Hurd (Clarence); his sisters, Patsy Hair and Sandra Faye Moore; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 at New Beginnings Pentecostal Church with Pastor Ralph Jernigan and Pastor Earl Ragland officiating.
