Owen “Fox” Dale Overstreet, 78, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Salem VA Medical Center.  He was born on Sunday, August 31, 1947 to the late Owen L. Overstreet & Ollie Evans Overstreet. Fox was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Smith, Judy Goad & Patricia Overstreet.

Fox was an Army veteran and served during Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW, Bedford Moose #1897 & American Legion.  Fox also loved round track racing & NASCAR.

Surviving are his sister, Darlene Witt; brother, Larry Overstreet (Bonnie); special caretakers, Crystal Overstreet & Melinda Cassidy.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Bedford Moose Lodge. Interment will be private in Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery.
