Obituary of James Harrison Baldridge

James Harrison Baldridge, 49 of  Huddleston, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Friday, June 9, 2023 at his residence.  He was born on Monday, January 7, 1974  in Angola, IN, a son of James R. Baldridge (wife, Sandy) and the late Glenda Brown Baldridge.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Caleb Baldridge,  seven angel babies and his father-in-law, Sherner McCloud.

James loved spending time with his family and watching the kids play.  He enjoyed cooking and always strived to help anyone he could. James' long troubled heart is now at rest and he will never suffer again.  His favorite bible verse was "Do unto others.."  and as Pappy would say, "Don't make me Gubbs smack you!!"

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Stacy; his children, James Baldridge (Kennedy), Noah, Jason, Jamielynn, Jeffery Baldridge; granddaughter, Haylie; sister, Kim (Ray); mother-in-law, Linda McCloud; special nieces, Michelle, Renee, Jessica, Emily; nephew, Conner as well as brother-in-law, Gary (Stephanie).  

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Jackie Carver officiating.  Interment will follow in the Baldridge Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Thursday at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
