Audrey Christine "Chris" Ayers McGuire, 83 of Moneta, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at Franklin Health & Rehab. Center. She was born on Sunday, April 10, 1932 in Roanoke, a daughter of the late Luie Kyle Ayers and Mamie Elizabeth Whitworth Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby G. McGuire, her granddaughter, Sheri Miller Moseley and her sister, Ruby Lorene Trent. Chris was retired from General Electric and was a member of Radford Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Gary Wayne Miller & his wife, Sue; special nieces, Tammy Pickett, Cammy Spearly & her great grandchildren, Carolyn & Hunter Moseley. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Karl Hofheinz & Rev. Vernon Delong officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 4 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
