Paulette Spadaford Brunning, 67 of Thaxton, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born on Friday, July 29, 1949 in Philadephia, PA, a daughter of the late Leo Spadafora and Elvira Pasamonte Spadafora. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jean Dennis Dupuis. She was a Teachers Aide with Bedford County Public Schools and was a member of St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Joseph Brunning; her sister, Maria Crupi & husband, Thomas of London Derry, NH; her nephew, Peter Crupi & friend, Stacey of Wakefield, MA; her niece, Andrea Costa & husband, Greg of Boston, MA.
The family requests those wishing to make memorials to consider a pro-life group.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church with Rev. Kevin Beaton, SFO officiating. Interment will follow in St. Andrews Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, September 16, 2016 from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 PM at St. Elias Maronite Catholic Church.
Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
