Glenna Wooldridge Hogan, 81 of Huddleston, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the home of her son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Melanie. She was born on Wednesday, September 4, 1935, a daughter of the late John Eugene Wooldridge and Minnie Sue Sarver Wooldridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James T. Hogan, Sr., and a son, Timothy Mark Hogan. She was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons, James T. Hogan, Jr. & wife, Melanie, Ira Joseph Hogan & wife, Christie all of Huddleston, Kenneth Wayne Hogan & wife, Bonnie of Troutville; her brothers, Lewis Wooldridge of Elliston, Eddie Wooldridge of Roanoke, Wayne Wooldridge of Salem; her sister, Wanda Overstreet of Vinton, special hospice caregivers, Amanda Hicks, Mary "Sissy" Parker as well as six grandchildren & five great grandchildren. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials should consider Huddleston Fire Department, 5377 Smith Mountain Lake Parkway, Huddleston, VA 24104, the Huddleston Lifesaving Crew, P. O. Box 77, Huddleston, VA 24104 or Centra Hospice, 1621 Whitfield Drive, #C, Bedford, VA 24523 The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church and a graveside service will follow at 2 PM in the church cemetery with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
