Mary Linda Ashley Toms, 77, of Bedford, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023,

surrounded by her loved ones. She was predeceased by her parents, Walker & Elsie Ashley; her husband, Lionel W. Toms; a son, John William Toms, and Mary Q. & Hilary Saunders, who raised her.

She is survived by her son, Jason Lee Toms; grandson, John Williams Toms II; a daughter-in-law, Melinda Toms; a host of friends & family, and her beloved dog “Chobee”.

Mary Linda was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, having served as Custodian for 34 years. She was a Charter Member of Stoney Creek Rebekah Lodge 103. Mary Linda will be missed by all who knew and loved her for her unique sense of humor, her loyal determination, commitment, and her many talents. May she rest in peace.

A Funeral Service will be held at Main Street United Methodist Church on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 2:00 pm. with Rev. Dr. Dawn Compton officiating. A visitation will be held from 12 pm until 2 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Field of Dreams Cemetery.
