Obituary of Wyatt Malton Newman
Wyatt Malton Newman, 19, of Huddleston went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Wyatt was born on March 3, 2005, to Donavon and Regina Newman.
He was a 2023 Honors graduate from Staunton River High School, a graduate of the Auto Tech Program at Susie G. Gibson Science and Technology Center, a member of the National Honor Society, and a licensed State Inspector. One of Wyatt’s most notable achievements was the badge design for the Bedford Police Department. Wyatt could light-up any room with his infectious personality, beautiful smile, and witty one-liners. He definitely was always the life of the party. He loved hearing the whistle of his turbo, hunting, fishing, rock-crawling in his FJ buggy, welding, turning wrenches, and having bonfires.
He was the best big brother and hero to his brother, Gage. In addition to his parents and brother, Wyatt is survived by the love of his life, Carmella Zimmerman; paternal grandparents, Mickey and Glenda Newman; maternal grandmother, Ada Kirby; aunts, Jeanene Gillette (Carl) and Jalenda Settles (Mark); uncle, Coy Kirby (Jeanne); and cousins, Dylan and Danielle Settles, Monica Gillette, and Coy Kirby IV. Wyatt leaves behind the best friends a guy could ask for, Austin Powell, Alex Adkins, Nick Karnes, Mark Chittum, Alden Conner, Colby Bates, and so many more.
