Marge was a giant in the Moneta community. I served with her on the library board where she was a visionary. Look at the Bedford public library system, with its network of modern branches throughout the county, and you see Marge Cooper's hand. She supported the 1980s expansion, including the issuance of public bonds, not a common Bedford County financing practice. She stood up to the naysayers and built a library system that we can all be proud of. Thanks Marge, and we will miss you.
