Obituary of Warren Harding Hicks

Warren Harding Hicks, 90 of  Huddleston passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Heartland of Lynchburg.  He was born on Monday, May 23, 1927 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Lee Ernest Hicks  and Cora Alice Deaner Hicks.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph L. Hicks, Earl F. Hicks & special friend, Shirley Wilson.

He loved dancing at New London Center on Timberlake Road with his friends and going to casinos playing slots with his brother, Ralph.  

He is survived by his sister, Arlene H.K. Garrison of Hobe Sound, FL; his brother, David P. Hicks, Sr. of Huddleston, special friends, Sabrina Kirkpatrick & Russ Hilbert, Edwin Kirkpatrick, Robert & Peyton Hicks, Steven D. Hicks and numerous other relatives, friends, nieces & nephews.  

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at  the graveside at Bethesda United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rick Barton officiating.    Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
