Obituary of Henry Lane Woodford

Henry Lane Woodford, 74 of  Huddleston, passed away Friday, June 30, 2017 at Oakwood Manor Health & Rehab Center.  He was born on Thursday, July 23, 1942  in Bedford County, a son of the late Lewis Lane Woodford  and Helen Elizabeth Overstreet Woodford.  

He was retired from BGF Industries, was a farmer and a member of Mentow Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Mattox Woodford; his brother, Lynwood Woodford & wife, Betty Jo of Bluefield, WV; his sister-in-law, Shirley M. Gregg of Charlottesville as well as many nieces & nephews.  

The family would like to thank to the staff of Oakwood Manor Health & Rehab Center for their care and kindness.  The family requests that those wishing to make memorials are asked to consider Mentow Baptist Church Building Fund, 3282 Mentow Drive, Huddleston, VA 24104.  

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Mentow Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Murphy & Dr. Rick Foster officiating.  Interment will follow in Mentow Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 until 5 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
