I was so sad to hear about sweet Patty! She grew up on the street where we lived , Leona Street in Forestville, Maryland. She was at our house often! I remember the day the Lineberger Family moved to South Carolina. It was a few days before Christmas. I think Patty was maybe 12 years old. I hugged her and she said one day she would come back to visit. But as time went on , I never saw her again! We missed the whole Lineberger Family. David, Sue, Frankie, Willie, Sylvia, Cisco, Mary and Patty! Most of all their Parents Frank and Loretta. I can see Frank now Pulling Patty in a wagon down Leona Street. One day I will see Patty again in Heaven! What a Day that will be!
"When we have done all the work we were sent to do, We are allowed to shed our bodies- which imprisons our soul like a cocoon encloses the butterfly. And when the time is right, we can let go of it~Then we will be free of fears and free of worries~Free as a beautiful Butterfly returning Home to God!" Donna & Bob Palmer

The Class of 1979 in Great Falls SC would like to extend our sincere sympathies to your family. Patty was indeed a special part of our class and I can tell from the other condolences and responses on Facebook she only got better with age! Although some time as passed since our paths last crossed, I know we will see her again. God bless you, your family and close friends with His indescibale peace.

So sorry to hear that Aunt Patty is gone she was far too young to leave so soon. She is the one who fostered my love of horses with Blaze. I hope she rests easy in heaven with family and fur babies alike.

Over the years I enjoy talking to Patty when visiting DePaul's office in Roanoke. Patty would talk mainly about Elizabeth each time. Though never meeting, felt as if I could see by Elizabeth pictures how well things were going. Being from Kentucky and having mules on our farm, we would talk about plans once leaving work. I could see in her eyes the joy of her hubby an how must fun they had and were planning. Your partner/mother cheered me up when we spoke of daily tests, I am fortunate to have known Patty. My family has all your family in our thoughts.

I am so very sorry for your loss, Patty was a very special person and I had the privilege to call her a friend. I met Patty a little over 10 years ago when I came to work for DePaul and whenever I came to the Roanoke office I always stopped by to say hello because she was always fun to talk to whether it was in person or on the phone. Even after she left DePaul we still kept in touch because who wouldn't have kept in touch with such a delightful person. I will miss her smiling face and she will always be in my heart. I will keep you all in my prayers. Sincerely, Gail Asbury

This is still so unreal. I miss her so much. She was always walking Smokey and they would always come see Katie, Jody and any puppies I had in those wee morning hours. She would pop in with Smokey and have coffee but when I'd say stay for another cup she would say 'No I have to clean before I see the mules.'. She loved making her house and yard look nice and loved sharing the extras from her garden.I will miss her at Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. She was beloved by all our friends and family and the outpouring of concern and grief shows she was not just a neighbor but a friend. She never made me feel like a second class citizen and was always there to help me if I asked. She always called me on the sly and said don't tell Sarah but I'm making extra sausage dip just for you. Still feeling the separation pain of the move but always said well we have a good excuse now to meet for lunch but now this longing feeling will just go on and on. She was such a wonderful person and I truly miss her

Was a great honor and privilege to know Patty. I was also honored to be a part of her family she was truly one of the most genuine and unique persons you could ever hope to meet. She shared her bright light and love in so many ways to her friends family and all creatures of this Earth. She is now an angel working in the Lord's Garden of Love.
