Nevada Constance "Connie" Oakley Wagner, 102 of Huddleston, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at her residence. She was born on Thursday, January 9, 1908 in Logan Co., WV, a daughter of the late Harold Harvey Oakley and Lillie Mae McDonald Oakley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Opha Wagner. She was a member of Patmos United Methodist Church. Surviving are her sons, William Wallace Wagner & wife, Nancy Walls Wagner of Huddleston; Joe Frederick Wagner & Joanne D. Wagner of Chapmanville, WV; a daughter, Karen Steele Deason & husband, Thomas Deason of Downingtown, PA, four grandsons, William W. Wagner, Jr. & wife, Marie H. Wagner; Mark Wagner & wife, Karen Wagner; Harley O. Wagner; Jeff Deason; five granddaughters, Jennifer W. Carroll & husband, Shan C. Carroll, Kimberly J. Wagner, Sarah O. Wagner, Connie D. Williams & husband, Robert M. Williams, Lea M. Deason, eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Patmos United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 170, Huddleston, VA 24104. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Patmos United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the W. W. McDonald Family Cemetery in Man, WV. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
