Obituary of Ruby Hamlet Turpin

Ruby Hamlet Turpin, 100 of  Bedford, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Bedford County Nursing Home.  She was born on Thursday, December 7, 1916  in Gretna, a daughter of the late Carson E. Hamlet  and Pearl Barnard Hamlet.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd W. Turpin.

She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at Bedford County Nursing Home.

She is survived by her son, Robert Hamlet Neas of Bedford; her daughter, Anne Neas Day of Kenbridge, VA as well as one brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the graveside at Greenfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Gretna with Rev. Michael Day officiating.  There is no visitation.    Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
