Joan Dixon Jackson, 74 of Bedford, VA passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. She was born on Thursday, June 3, 1943 in California, a daughter of the late Bowie Dixon Sr. and Eleanor Marie Ortman Dixon. She was also preceded in death by husband, Russell David Jackson, Sr.
She is survived by her sons, Russell Jackson, Jr. & wife, Tracy, Ryan Jackson; her daughters, Lisa Mitchell & husband, Earl & Lori Holloway.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside at 2 PM on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Jackson Family Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
