Obituary of James Walker Brown

James Walker Brown, 66 of  Blue Ridge, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, April 12, 1951 in Bedford County, a son of the late Luther Harrison Brown and Mary Bramlett Brown.  He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Larance Harrison "Jack" Brown and Wayne Edward Brown.  

He was a job supervisor in construction work. 

He is survived by his wife, Dawna Lou Potasnik Brown of Blue Ridge, daughter, Elizabeth Magiera & husband, Scott; two sons, James Robert Brown and Matthew Scott Brown; three sisters, Willie Graham, Mary Lang, Ellen Virginia Hayes; a brother, Edward Lewis Brown; grandchildren, Adrianna Nicole Harris, Marissa Ann Harris, William Robert Lavine, Loretta Love-Brown.  

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the family cemetery located off Johnson School Road. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
