Obituary of Dennis Lee Kasey, Sr.

Dennis Lee Kasey, Sr. 72 of  Bedford, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital.  He was born on Monday, January 15, 1945 in Bedford County, a son of the late Irving Mack Kasey and Annie Bates Kasey.  He was also preceded in death by wife, Blanche Brown Kasey, his son, Dennis Lee Kasey, Jr. & his brother, Irving C. Kasey.   He was retired from Adams Construction Company with 45 years of service. 

He is survived by his son, Michael Patrick Kasey of Roanoke; his daughter, Sherry Lee Brown of Roanoke; his sisters, Julia M. Kasey, Louvenia Nellums, Bessie Kasey Johnson (Rudolph), Eva Roberta Kasey, Mary Eileen Skinner (David Parker, Jr.); a special nephew, Sean Johnson; his aunt, Minnie Bates Traynham, as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, many cousins & friends and nieces & nephews. 

The family will receive friends Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 2 until 4 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
