Obituary of Norma Ashwell West

Norma Ashwell West, 95 of  Huddleston, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Oakwood Health & Rehab. Center.  She was born on Sunday, April 2, 1922 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Frank Ashwell  and Lula McBride Ashwell.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Davis Allen West.  She was the oldest member of  Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church.  

She is survived by her son, Dennis West of Huddleston; her brother, Boyce Ashwell & wife, Betty of Huddleston as well as several nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 5 until 7 PM at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church and a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the church with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
