Obituary of Mildred L. Witt

Mildred L."Tillie" Witt, 87 of  Bedford, passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Centra Bedford Memorial Hospital, Bedford's Comfort Care.  She was born on Saturday, April 19, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. Laughlin and Ethel G. Laughlin of Bedford.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, M. Carlton Witt; a son Kenneth R. Witt; and daughter, Peggy Ann Witt. She devoted her life to her family, church and her flowers. Her love and devotion is ever lasting, and will be missed by all. 

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Stevens & husband, Wilson; sons, Reggie Witt & Kea, John Witt & wife, Penny; sisters, Glennie Caldwell and Gloria Key; as well as eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grand children and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 till 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Ephesus United Methodist Church and a funeral service will follow with the Rev. Bob Woodfin officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
