I've known Vernon all my life, growing up in the same neighborhood and always riding his Harley Davidson by my house when I was a kid. Our friendship continued as he built me an engine for my Nova while I was a teenager, and helped me work on various projects. He was a very smart man and was always willing to give me a helping hand or advice when I needed it. I will miss the times you stopped by my shop just to say hi and stopping by Daddy's while we were busting wood just so we could give the woodsplitter a "break". And I really appreciate you coming over to bust the 40" oak tree I cut down you really saved me a lot of work. And I will surely miss the rumble of that Harley Davidson everyday as you came home. Ride on brother til we meet again.
