Obituary of Shirley West Goad

Shirley West Goad, 81 of Lynch Station passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Oakwood Health & Rehab Center.  She was born March 24, 1936 in Campbell County, a daughter of the late Lonnie Raleigh West and Bevie Laughon West.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Hensley Dowayne Goad, Sr., a daughter, Dianne G. Witt and a grandson, Trey Goad.

She was retired from Universal Electric and was a member of Huddleston United Methodist Church and the Huddleston Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggy G. Atherly & husband, Scott of Vacaville, CA, Ada G. Kirby of Evington; her sons, Lonnie Ray Goad & wife, Debbie of Lynch Station, Dowayne Goad of Huddleston, Mark Goad & Tim Goad, both of Richmond; a sister, Janet W. Irby of Hurt as well as nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
   
There will be no visitation and a private family service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
