Obituary of Faye Elizabeth Witt Preston

Faye Elizabeth Witt Preston, 83 of Huddleston, went home on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.  She was born January 23, 1935 in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Benjamin Davis Witt and Helen Overstreet Witt Johnson.  Faye was also preceded in death by a brother, Lavander Witt.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of sixty-two years, Jackie T. Preston; three daughters, Jan Burnette & husband, Woody, Dana St. Clair & husband, David, Jodie Smolik & husband, George; four grandchildren, Lacy & Wade Burnette,  Cale & Leah St. Clair; a brother Carl Witt & wife, Phyllis; caregivers, Jeannie Richards, Sheila Sowers and the loving angels of Bedford Centra Hospice, especially Sissy Parker.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Mt. Horeb Cemetery Fund, 6325 Smith Mountain Lake Parkway, Huddleston, VA 24104.

Faye was a devoted member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church and a celebration of her life will be held at the church at 2 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018, with Chaplain Justin Brown and Pastor Jane Whitehead officiating.  There is no visitation.

Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
